The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Hospitality and Tourism Management at APU is designed to prepare students for a successful career in one of the world’s fastest-growing industries. The programme combines hands-on hospitality and tourism skills with essential management knowledge, covering operations, supervision, and global leadership. Students progress through three key stages: a foundational first year, skill-building in Year 2, and strategic, research-focused learning in the final year.
One of the highlights of this programme is the Dual Award partnership with HTMi Switzerland, a globally recognised institution in hospitality education. Upon graduation, students will receive two degree certificates and transcripts, one from APU, Malaysia and one from HTMi, Switzerland. The course fee includes this Dual Award scheme, adding global recognition and value to your qualification.
With APU’s strong industry-academia collaboration, the curriculum is aligned with current industry demands and government talent development initiatives. Students graduate with job-ready skills, critical thinking abilities, and the confidence to lead in the global hospitality and tourism industry.

Entry Requirements
Direct Entry to Level 1 of the Degree
- STPM: 2 passes with minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0)
- A-Level: 2 passes (Grade A–D)
- UEC: 5 Grade Bs
- Foundation/Matriculation: Pass with minimum CGPA of 2.0
Entry to Level 2 of the Degree
- Completed APU Diploma or a recognised Diploma with equivalent credits to Level 1 of a degree (subject to APU Academic Board approval)
