About

The Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Hospitality and Tourism Management at APU is designed to prepare students for global careers in the fast-growing hospitality and tourism industry. This programme combines hands-on skills with key business and management knowledge, equipping students to lead operations, manage teams, and drive innovation in international hospitality and tourism businesses.

Throughout the 3-year course, students will gain practical knowledge in service operations, global business management, and leadership. The programme includes real-world projects and industry-relevant modules that help build strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.

APU offers a Dual Award in collaboration with HTMi Switzerland, where graduates receive two degree certificates and transcripts, one from APU, Malaysia and one from HTMi, Switzerland. The course fees already include this Dual Award scheme.

With strong industry-academia partnerships, APU ensures students graduate with skills that match the needs of the global job market. The curriculum is developed with input from industry experts to produce highly employable, future-ready professionals.

Entry Requirements

Direct Entry to Level 1

  • STPM: 2 Passes with minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0)
  • A-Level: 2 Passes (Grade A–D)
  • UEC: 5 Grade B’s
  • Foundation/Matriculation: Pass with minimum CGPA 2.0

Entry to Level 2 (Credit Transfer)

  • Completed APU Diploma or
  • Completed Diploma from a recognised institution with credits equivalent to Level 1 of an Honours Degree (subject to APU Academic Board approval)
  • Other equivalent qualifications may be considered as per APU and MQA guidelines.

English Language Requirements

  • IELTS: Minimum Band 5.0
  • MUET: Minimum Band 3.5
