Entry Requirements
- 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Maths
- It is highly recommended that students have GCSE grade C or higher in ICT or an equivalent qualification
Curriculum
- AS Unit 1 Computer Fundamentals: components of a computer system, data representation, hardware, data transmission, implications of computer use.
- AS Unit 2, Programming Techniques and Logical Methods: designing solutions to problems, procedural programs, data types/structures
- A2 Unit 3, Advanced Computing Theory: functions of an operating system, functions of translators, computer architecture, data manipulation
- A2 Unit 4, Project: develop an idea, then analyse, design, build, test and document a solution for the user
