Entry Requirements

Malaysian Students

STPM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

• CGPA 3.00 and above including at least grade B in Chemistry
• Malaysian candidates’ are compulsory to pass in Bahasa Malaysia and English with at least grade C in SPM or equivalent
• Compulsory Pass minimum Band 3 in MUET before graduation.

A-LEVEL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

i) Obtained 3Bor 1C or 1A1B1C in Biology and Chemistry and Physic or Mathematics with at least grade B in Chemistry subject.

Referred to (UCAS) Implemented in United Kingdom for A-Level :  A+ = 140, A = 120, B = 100, C = 80

• The requirement of 3B by Pharmacy Board Malaysia is equivalent to a total score of 300 with B for Chemistry subject.

ii) Malaysian candidates’ are compulsory to pass in Bahasa Malaysia andEnglish with at least grade C in SPM or equivalent

iii)  Compulsory Pass minimum Band 3 in MUET before graduation.

MATRICULATION OR PRE-MEDICAL  AND PHARMACY OR FOUNDATION IN SCIENCE:

i) Matriculation or Pre-Medical Pharmacy / Medical with GPA 3.0 and above with at least grade B in Chemistry

   OR

ii) Foundation in Science with CGPA 3.0 and above with at least grade B in Chemistry

    AND

iii) The program should be carried out for at least in duration of 1 year

iv) Malaysian candidates’ are compulsory to pass in Bahasa Malaysia andEnglish with at least grade C in SPM or equivalent

v) Compulsory Pass minimum Band 3 in MUET before graduation

     OR

Have the following English qualification :

• Score 550 in Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); OR

• Band 6.0 in English Language Testing Service (IELTS) with minimum Band 5.5   for every skill – writing, reading, listening and speaking (WRLS)

*   If they do not comply with the requirements of English (a) and (b) MUET Band 3 is applicable.

iv) Pass SPM with at least 5B in Biology AND Chemistry AND Physics ANDMathematics OR Additional Mathematics AND one (1) other subject in `Sijil Pelajaran Sekolah’ or equivalent.

DIPLOMA

i) Diploma in Science (Chemistry or Biology or Physics) CGPA3.75 and above including grade B in Chemistry OR Diploma in Pharmacy CGPA 3.5 and above.

ii) Malaysian candidates’ are compulsory to pass in Bahasa Malaysia andEnglish with at least grade C in SPM or equivalent.

iii. Pass (MUET) Band 3 before graduation.

iv. Pass SPM with at least 5B in Biology and Chemistry and Physic and Mathematics OR Additional Mathematics and any one (1) subject at School Certificate level or equivalent

1st DEGREE IN SCIENCE

• Obtained 1st Degree in Science with CGPA 2.75 and above (CGPA 2.75 = Grade C+)
