Entry Requirements

Application Process:

  • Online Application:
    • Complete the online application, clearly indicating your intention to study at the Malaysia Campus.
  • Potential Interview:
    • Some PhD applicants may be invited for an interview before a formal offer is made.

Academic Requirements:

  • Master's Degree:
    • Hold an MSc degree recognized by the Malaysian government and deemed acceptable by the University.
  • Exceptional Bachelor's Degree:
    • In exceptional cases, candidates with a first-class BSc (Hons) or BA (Hons) degree may be admitted if they possess significant research experience.
  • MBA Holders:
    • Candidates holding an MBA are first required to complete the PG Certificate in Research Methods delivered by the Edinburgh Business School.

Supporting Documents:

  • Academic Transcripts and Certificates:
    • Provide copies of full academic transcripts from all previous degree courses and copies of certificates for degrees already awarded.
  • Detailed Research Proposal:
    • Submit a comprehensive research proposal.

English Language Requirements:

  • IELTS 6.5 or Equivalent:
    • Demonstrate English language proficiency at level IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
