About Australian Film, Television and Radio School

The Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) is Australia's national screen arts and broadcast school. The School is an Australian Commonwealth government statutory authority whihc is a member of the "Australian Roundtable for Arts Training Excellence". AFTRS is located in a state-of-the-art purpose built facility in the heart of Sydney's screen precinct - within the Entertainment Quarter in Sydney, Australia. AFTRS is located in a state-of-the-art purpose built facility in the heart of Sydney's screen precinct - within the Entertainment Quarter in Sydney, Australia.Counselling and student welfare is provided via the AFTRS’ Student Centre. AFTRS’ Library has the biggest screen arts and broadcast collection in Australia. Also located on campus are a full-size cinema, state-of-the-art mix theatre, professional television studio and fi lm studios, state-of-the-art sound recording studios and editing suites, screen music composition suites, offline and online editing suites, computer labs, on-air digital radio studios, a dedicated technical equipment store, a construction workshop and a props store.

AFTRS is located inside the Entertainment Quarter, Building 130. Students may choose the transport to the campus as they pleased. Public vehicle and pedestrian access to the Entertainment Quarter is via the main entrance on Lang Rd.The Entertainment Quarter precinct can be reached easily by private car or public transport.
