About Ashland Community and Technical College

Ashland Community & Technical College is a two-year college that’s been serving the Ashland area since 1938.

As a part of  KCTCS, Ashland Community & Technical College provides people in the Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia tri-state area with life long learning experiences and cultural programs by offering:

  • University Parallel Programs for Transfer to four-year institutions
  • Career Programs for advancement in many professional and technical fields
  • Response to the needs of local business and industry for state-of-the-art workforce training.

Campus information

ACTC currently has three campuses in Boyd county to serve the tri-state community's diverse needs.  Our College Drive Campus is located in Ashland, our Roberts Drive Campus is located in Summit and our Technology Drive Campus is located in EastPark, just off I-64.

The College Drive Campus, located just off 13th Street in Ashland, has been a prominent landmark in the community since 1975. 

Home to our newest addition, the Technology Drive Campus is located just off the Industrial Parkway (KY 67).  

The Roberts Drive Campus, located at the junction of Bob McCullough Drive and Roberts Drive in Ashland, has been a  landmark in the community since 1968.  


ACTC is a commuter college.  While the college does not offer campus housing, there is a ready supply of affordable housing in the tri-state area, for those who wish to relocate and go to college at ACTC.
