Getting involved isn't too difficult, considering all of the many activities at your disposal. Campus life is vibrant, active and inviting, and we offer both off-campus and resident students a host of activities, special events and other opportunities to get involved.
You can participate in one of more than 30 student organizations that help you establish leadership skills. Develop a deep commitment to service and tounderstanding your faith. Watch or participate in an NCAA Division III sport, including basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.
Our campus is easily accessible – we’re just 15 minutes from downtown Milwaukee and General Mitchell International Airport.
Our two residence halls on campus, Austin Hall and Clare Hall, are nestled on 46-acres of lush green space with running and walking paths, picnic tables and places for socializing, studying and reflection. Both residence halls offer the convenience of living close to classrooms, academic resources, campus clubs and organizations,Alverno Presents performances and friends.
As an on-campus resident, you will enjoy meal service, free parking, a fitness center, a full calendar of activities, as well as easy access to downtown Milwaukee.
All first-year residents are housed in Austin Hall in double rooms. Sophomores, juniors, seniors and transfer students are eligible to reside in large or small single rooms if they are available. During the academic year, your room becomes your “home away from home.” We want you to be as comfortable as possible. Each double room (10’ X 17’) is furnished with blinds, two single beds, built-in desk and drawers, desk chairs, a built-in bookshelf, closets, a sink and vanity, a microwave/refrigerator unit, a computer network/Internet connection jack, and a cable television outlet. A vacuum cleaner, mop and cooking utensils are available for check out at the Austin Hall reception desk. Other Austin Hall features include:
Alverno College houses upper-level and nontraditional-aged students who prefer more privacy. To meet the needs of these students, we offer a quieter housing option on the 4th floor. Sophomores, juniors, seniors and students over the age of 22 are eligible to live in Clare Hall if they are free of an outstanding business office balance and are in good standing within the residence hall. Living in Clare Hall is a privilege for those students who want the convenience of living on campus, with the freedom of independent living. Other Clare Hall features include:
