How is the academic life at this university/college? Before I applied and after getting accepted to LRJJ, I constantly asked myself over and over if LRJJ is really the right place for me to build up my career and pursue my passion in the Hospitality Industry. Can the school really provide the academic life it has promised? The answer is yes. In school, I am directly taught by "coaches" who are experienced in their field and provide great insights about the hospitality world. In addition, I strongly believe that the practical classes in LRJJ is what makes it unique. Since I am visual learner, putting what I learned from the theoretical class into actions makes my understanding complete. What are the students like? The diversities in our college is so big that when you look at students gathering one area, it is hard to find one dominant nationality. In my first semester, we had at least 10 different nationalities out of around 16 students in a class. LRJJ is a wonderful place for me to have a great opportunity to meet different people from around the world. What do students do when not studying? Tell us about the social and sports life. If not studying, there are club activities students can join or be the one to initiate new club on week days. On weekends, they can take a bus or a ride to go to the city center and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Shanghai's skyscraper buildings. If Shanghai is not enough, students can even spend their weekend to travel another cities such as Hangzhou and Suzhou. What is your overall opinion about this university/college? The overall experience at LRJJ is positive and it is a great stepping stone to begin my career. I recommend those who really have the passion to pursue their career in hospitality industry to study at the Les Roches Jin Jiang.
