How is the academic life at this university/college? The academic life here's not hard for me. I've met nice classmates and very helpful lecturers here. What are the students like? I'm not sure about the others, but for myself. Firstly, I can get there easily by public transport. Secondly, I found my teachers have got high responsibility (comparing to my former TAFE). Lastly, I am lucky that I've met lovely classmates. What do students do when not studying? Tell us about the social and sports life. There is SLAM Volunteering opportunity for students here. They organise many interesting events that I'd really like to participate. Unfortunately, I can't miss out my class to join the events because the international students need over 80% of class attendance. Otherwise, I'll be in trouble with the immigrations in Australia. What is your overall opinion about this university/college? I chose to study at Melbourne Polytechnic because its website just popped up while I was googling for a course and they provide many interesting courses with reasonable course duration. The most important tip for international students to find a qualified course in Australia is searching for courses that show the CRISCO list , then looking for reviews from formers students. If you don't drive, you should find a TAFE that closes to public transport system. I've never thought that I will enjoy the marketing course (I'm doing the Diploma of Marketing) that much. However, I've found it's very interesting and really want to continue to do the advance diploma of marketing here. Unfortunately, this course isn't not provided for international students for some reasons, so I have to find somewhere else that run this course for those of international. My future goal is applying all knowledge and strategies that I have learnt to set up a small business back home (Thailand), or may be in Australia. Overall, I have had really good experiences here in both academic and social life. That's why I'm really sad that I can't do the Advanced Diploma in Marketing here. If anyone would like to do Diploma in Marketing, I strongly recommend you coming to Melbourne Polytechnic as you can transfer your credit to Latrobe University (in case you plan to go to a university). Also, the teachers are very nice and helpful.
