Bard College is a private, liberal arts college that was founded in 1860, offering nearly 50 academic programs with a high number of postgraduate programs. The college offers more than 40 major programs through their 23 academic departments. At the undergraduate level, Bard College offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science programs. The college is a college rich with different activities, with over 120 student clubs which includes international and cultural organisations.

Bard College is located in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. The rural main campus is located near Red Hook town, overlooking Hudson River and Catskill Mountains, and is also within the Hudson River Historic District, a National Historic Landmark.
Residence Life
The Bard campus offers more than 40 student residences that embrace a wide range of architectural characteristics, social styles, and sizes. All have Internet access, social rooms, kitchens, and laundries, and many boast beautiful views of the Catskill Mountains to the west. Most residence halls are coed, and roughly one-third of the rooms are singles. All first-year and sophomore Bard students are guaranteed housing; transfer students are not, although they may request on-campus housing.
